Thanks for checking out Swingjet. The Swingjet is approximately 1″ in height. The nozzle does retract flush with the housing but you still have that 1″ tall housing sticking up from the surface. Beach Entries would be a great application but it could be a bit of a “toe-stubber”. We are working on another solution for beach entries…

I recently purchased a pool and loved the idea of the SwingJets so I purchased them. The problem I’m having is that they are so loud. You can hear them from outside of the pool and when you go under water the sizzle-sound is so loud that it takes away from the overall swimming experience. Furthermore, because the jets are blowing so hard and loud that it creates millions of tiny bubbles in the water making it seem not clear when swimming underwater.

This weekend, I took all 4 of the swingjets off and wow, the water became crystal clear and it was so quiet, peaceful and tranquil.

Is this normal? If so, then I’m very disappointed. If it isn’t normal, then can someone please help out my pool company in getting it corrected?

To give you a little background, they originally had one of the four SwingJets opening at a time and they figured that was the problem. So they recently set it so that two of the SwingJets open at a time (same issue).
