Q: When the Ultra UV2 turns on the light flashes and doses not stay on, what is wrong?

This is a sign that a lamp is going bad. You need to find a warranty station. Call Customer Service at 800-621-5886 or click to find a list of warranty stations. Not enough pressure to operate the pressure switch.Increase the pump speed and if it still does no come on call a warranty station .

Q: Why is the light on my Ultra UV2 not on?

The Ultra UV is operated by a pressure switch and the pump must be on. Check if the multi-speed pump is at a high enough speed to make the pressure switch come on, and the filter is clean. If this is a brand new install the Instructions state “You must take off the lid and connect the loose wire to the pressure switch.” This wire is left off, so the unit will not come on until the pool is ready to be started.

Q: My Paraskim Venturi Skimmer stopped working, what should I do?

Check to make sure the valve that feeds the Venturi is open. Turn off the valve at the equipment to the Venturi and remove the Venturi from the skimmer and make sure it is not plugged with debris.* Check to make sure the weir is still in place in the skimmer and moving freely. Make sure the water level is not too low in the pool for the skimmer to work properly. Make sure the basket is not full of debris.

Q: The Paraskim skimmer isn't pulling in debris, how do I fix it?

Check to make sure the skimmer suction valve is open at least 1/3 of the way at the equipment nozzle. Check to make sure the weir is still in place in the skimmer and moving freely. Make sure the water level is not too low in the pool for the skimmer to work properly. Make sure the basket is not full of debris. Close the main drain line with the skimmer all the way open and if the pump starts to make a lot of noise and stop pumping your skimmer line is plugged or partly plugged. Call a service tech.

Q: My Parascope will not come up/ go down. What should I do?

Use a nozzle tool to remove the unit and blow out the line by turning on the valve to the units without the device in it. Slide the unit up and down in the sleeve to make sure it is not binding, and the shaft is not warped.

Q: My Paralevel auto water filler is over filling or not keeping the correct water level in my pool, what should I do?

Pull up on the float to see if it shuts off. If yes Adjust the float. If it doesn’t shut off turn off the water supply and remove the float. Check that the yellow O-ring at the bottom of the float is intact and present. Carefully unsnap the top mechanism and make sure nothing is stuck in the small orifice. If yes use a small pin to push loose the debris, then flush and reassemble the float. If this does not fix the issue call Paramount 800-621-5886 and talk to customer service. You may have too much (over 80psi) or too little (under 45psi) inlet pressure or damage to the tank. Check to make sure the small plug in the bottom of the canister has a hole in it or is not plugged with debris. Sometimes the line to the pool can become airlocked. Run a hose in the open hole in the pool interior to blow out any air in the line.

Q: What size transformer do I need for the ParaGlo lights?

The ParaGlo uses 12 to 13 volts and 18 watts for each light.

Q: What is an MVFuse and what does it do?

An MVFuse is a SVRS (Safety Vacuum Relief System) It is a vacuum break that senses an unsafe rise in system suction vacuum and opens to allow air to vent the line to avoid body and some forms of limb entrapment if a person was to block a suction line. An MV fuse comes in two forms. One is a device that fits on top of the In-Deck Debris canister. The other is in a 6-inch deck canister of its own that can be used for safety from entrapment of any drain attached to it.

Q: I have a nozzle or set of nozzles staying up all the time. How can I tell if it is bad nozzles or bad module?

If you turn off the pump and they go down, then that is probably a module. If they stay up, then that is a nozzle. If your system is PV3 and you have a salt pool, then the nozzle staying up could be a gasket on the nozzle that salt can attack and make soft and sticky. Remove the nozzle to inspect and replace the gasket if it is interfering with the nozzle. Part number 005-627-0060-00 for a pack of 4.

Q: How do I clean the module/s?

Turn off the pool pump. Open the valve shell by removing the band clamp. Remove the module. Put it in the pool water side ways and swish it back and forth as fast as you can about 5 to 6 times. Turn it upside down and if a piston is open push it straight down: never rotate it. Spin the gear closest to the center pin clockwise. Re-install it.
